(1) First service interval is 45,000 miles. Service every 30,000 miles thereafter. (2) Fuel filter should be replaced when fuel pressure drops below specification with fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose disconnected. See REGULATED FUEL PRESSURE under FUEL SYSTEM. Ensure fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator are okay. (3) Inspect valve clearance at interval and adjust as necessary with engine cold.
(1)First service interval is 45,000 miles. Service every 30,000 miles thereafter.

Note. Before setting idle speed ensure MIL has/is not been on, ignition timing is correct, spark plugs and air cleaner are okay, and PCV system is operating properly.

Note. On models equipped with Daytime Running Lights (DRL), apply parking brake, and with engine running, ensure headlights are off.
